Default Oil Help

I'm currently using Mobil 1 5W30 (cSt 11.3 & HTHS 3.09). I'm starting to think this may be too thin for my car and living in Az it gets 105-120 in the summers (mods on sig). Anyways someone suggest looking for an oil with the cSt of 12+ and a HTHS of 3.6+, would this seem about right? For the last day I've been reading up on oils and learning more about their specs, etc. but I'm still not 100% sure on all of it.

Anyways here are the oils I am now looking to use.

AMSOIL European Car Formula Synthetic 5W40- cSt @ 100°C 13.7 & HTHS 3.7
https://www.amsoil.com/storefront/afl.aspx

Mobil 1 0W40- cSt @ 100°C 14.3 & HTHS 3.6
http://www.mobil.com/USA-English/Lub...il_1_0W-40.asp

Red Line 10W40- cSt @ 100°C 14.6 & HTHS 4.7
http://www.redlineoil.com/pdf/4.pdf

Royal Purple 10W40- cSt @ 100°C 13.8 & HTHS ? (emailed them about the HTHS)
http://www.royalpurple.com/prodsa/rpmoa.html

The Mobil 1 and RP I should be able to get the easiest and they look to be the cheapest of the 4. The AMSOIL dose not seem to be too hard to come by and is alittle more pricy than the RP. Red Line I've been trouble trying to find and seems to be around $9 or more a qt.

I guess the main thing that gets me is what cSt/HTHS I should really be looking for, for my car.

That site don't work for me. Ever email I have put in to sign up says it has been banned.

I contacted RP about what to use. They suggest to use their XRP 5W30 or 10W40, which I guess is now called RP Racing or something?

I'm looking more into using the RP or Red Line out of the 4.

That site does not allow free e-mail addresses. I run the Amsoil 5W-40 in my car, and a friend will be running it in his 402 shortly.

Alittle more info...

I contacted Dave at Red Line about the oil. Told him my mods and that I live in Az. He basicly told me since I have stock clearances on the pistons and bearings I should use 5W30. I also asked about the 10W40 he said he since their oils are shear stable and they do not shear down and lose viscosity over use he sees no real gains with going to the 10W40.

I also contacted ExxonMobil asking the same thing. They pretty much said what Dave at Red Line did.

Royal Purple said 5W30 would be the one to use. Though they said to use that weight with their race oil. I'm not sure if they were suggesting it cuz it will be a big improvement over their multi-grade oil of it it's cuz it's $5 more a qt.

I know someone that will be trying out some Red Line 15W50 (which right now I will not run in my car, seems to be too thick IMO). Though if he likes it I will just use the Red Line 10W40.

I'm surprised you didn't list the German Castrol. Do a search on this board, you'll get lots of info on it.

I know about it, but I'm not interested in it lol. For the reason I can't find any specs or a place that sells the stuff and I just don't care for Castrol oil.
