Default LS7 valves

Is there a vendor yet that sells valves for the LS7 heads? AWhat about other parts needed to put these on an LS6 engine?

Thanks in advance..

Talk to SDPC, they are selling heads that have stainless valves. I don't know where they are getting them. The only problem with stainless valves is that they are VERY heavy, especially for 2.200". You need a sizeable spring for this and a camshaft with a limited ramp rate and lift to prevent valve float. I was going to use stainless valves on my LS7 heads, but decided to go with the stock titanium ones. They are very expensive though, about $1000 shipped for a set of 8. The best advice I can give you is to ask around perfromance shops that work on LS7 Corvettes, and see if they have any used stock titanium intake valves that you could buy off of them.

Also, to use these heads on an LS1/6 block, you need to have the block sleeved to a minimum of a 4.100" bore.

I believe that the LS7 valves can't be cut!?!? I was told if you do a valve job they lose some coating they come with and could be trouble for the valve.

Can anyone confirm this? I'm not positive.

That's correct. No problem there.
