Default LS1 oil pan on LS2, any issues?

I bought a used LS2 to replace my LS1 and trying so save $$$ anywhere possible. Has anyone used an LS1 oil pan on an LS2? I know the part numbers are the same for both, just wondering about the redesign. Are there any issues or problems this would create? Thanks for your help.

The LS1 pan will fit the LS2 no problem. Just make sure you have the correct version of the LS1 pan for clearances between the chassis and pan.

why would you need a spacer[and where] for the crank?

For the 4" stroke crank used to produce 402 ci, the windage tray needs to be spaced down to clear the longer throw of the crank.
