I believe you have to use the L92 intake as well because of the intake ports. GMPP is getting to release the L92 intake, fuel rails, injectors and 90mm TB as unit at a very reasonable price. The cam choice is dependent on your personal tastes and goals of the truck. But seeing you're going with a 408, most pick cams in the 24x/25x range.

My question is why put a iron block 408 in the TB SS when you can just stroke the LS2 to a 402? You already have it and it would save you money and not add extra weight to an already heavy truck.

You will also need 8 new intake rocker arms.

That was the car setup in GMHTP - can't you run the truck version that is already out on the Escalade and Denali 6.2s?

I believe L92 heads require a 4.060 minimum bore.

L92 heads need a minimum of 4.00 bore.
GM even makes a 6.0 with the L92 heads... its called the L76.

From what I've read up on the L92/L76 Truck manifold flows pretty good. It's just not low profile so Fbody/Vette/Goat owners can not use it.

the Truck could probably be used for someone that is retroing a L92 or LS2 with L92 heads into a late 60's early 70's G or F body (especially if the have a raised hood).

If I'm not mistaken the Truck manifold is about the same height as a old SBC spread bore manifold with rochester carb and air cleaner.

I've got a set of L92's I want to put on my TBSS too, but I have a few questions. Will swapping to those heads require a different length pushrod? Also what head bolts and gaskets would it require, ls2 or l92?

They will use the same head bolts and intake bolts, not sure about the rocker arm bolts. I believe you would use the head gasket for the LS2.

You will need a setup that makes a lot of torque. So go smart. With a huge cam, that thing would be a dog off the line. Remember its a 4700 pound SUV.
