Most recomended rebuilders in SE US What rebuilders are within 200 miles of western Florida who understand LS type engines? Most of the backwoods guys that I talk to around here give me that deer in headlights look and go "LS what?"

Air Flow research in Pompano (Barry), without question, hands down, no argument. He builds the best engines anywhere IMO. Engines that stay together for 3-4 years and still run perfect. 550 RWHP 421's are his specialty with rather mild cams. He's also a master at head work, porting, nitrous, intake porting, engine rebuilding, etc.... He's easily the most knowledgable person I've ever spoken to about LSx engines, by far, and I've spoken to many shops.
PM me if you want his number. You drop your engine off to him and he rebuilds it. He doesn't do engine removals and installation though.
Also, he's not a complete rip-off like most shops, he charges an amazingly fair price that'll surprise you. He's got a few C5R projects going right now and a few LS7 and LS2 builds. A few of them are gonna be 600+ RWHP animals.
