Eagle crank issues
Although I knew a guy who had that issue on a eagle stroker crank and he just used red locktite on the outside of the pilot bearing, letting it setup before running. It's been doing fine for 12k mi and on it's second clutch. So it's not a big deal either way.
I recently called Eagle. They said there was never a problem, and it was GM who is inconsistant with their pilot bearing tolerances.
I bought a Callies from SDPC.

You might also notice that pilot bearings may be a little loose. If it is, call Eagle and they'll send you a bronze one (non-roller) for free.
So what is my eagle crank going to do leak? Is it going to fry my new clutch from impregnated black tar?
After reading all of the posts about oil leaks with Eagle cranks I wasn't going to take any chances. I cleaned it all with lacquer thinner and spread a smooth coating of JB Weld over the freeze plug and crank.
Would it have leaked? Who knows? But now I know it won't (and it hasn't). Why take a chance when it's sitting there right in front of you.

HA! Actually, yours has a larger freeze plug put in as well as the pilot bearing.
