Cartek 366ci anyone?
Looking for some info on a 366. Is there an advantage or dis advantage to it over a 370? Carteks x series 366 is one sb I'm considering. Its priced in the range that will allow me to do other things as well. A 408 is 4k. That thousand is needed more for other things than its needed for the extra displacement. Will a 366 stroker be more potent than a 370? Needs to be nitrous friendly as well.

Cartek has $3100 listed for the price of the SB. From there its a matter of making a decision on my heads. Thats why I want the extra 1000 instead of spending it on displacement. Might need a new clutch as well, its not slipping but it questionable at this time. So when the trans is dropped I'll see what else needs to be done.
As far as labor I'll try and rent a bay for most of it and pay the mechanic to help when I need it. Try and cut the swap cost down that way. I'm figuring about 5k all together installed and tuned. Maybe a little more.

So I'm looking for some education as well. Whats the difference between all bore and a stroker if they use the same crank? rod length?

The cartek 366 is a LS2 with a cleanup hone. stock polished crank. If you don't have an ls2 to start with it may be more. I would call them and check. A 370 is usually an Iron block 6.0. a little easier to bore the iron block to get extra dis[lacement. that is the only differences I can see.
