Moving LS2 PCV Vent
Moving LS2 PCV Vent I have a new LS2 crate motor with the valley PCV vent. I am going carb, and would like to move the vent from the front of the valley cover to the back end. Will make it a straight shot to the back of the carb. My question is can I just drill and tap a barb vent toward the rear of the valley cover? My worry is GM positioned the vent in such a way to prevent oil ingestion. I have never had the cover off, so don't know what it looks like in there. Think I will F anything up with such a simple approach?
Will be a simple matter to route a hose from the stock vent, but it will be so much cleaner if I can tap into the back of the valley.

If you remove the cover you will see a rather elaborate vent system bolted/sealed on the back side. You are going to have to take that off to see what you are dealing with. IMHO it is not a good idea.
Having said that, if you decide to do it, I have a LS2 with a slightly bent tube to trade with $ for yours.
