Default Stock LS7 Pushrod Length?

Anyone have this dimension? Also, whats the diameter of LSx pushrods? I need to get an adjustable pushrod to measure my pushrod length and need to get the right range. Thanks!

Would a 5/16" shaft be okay with 5/16" ball ends? The only reason for this is that there are many more sizes avaliable in this configuration, instead of the 3/8" shaft.

I would recommend staying with the 3/8 you should not have any problem getting the correct length you need. Check Comp or Manley.

If your not running a really high spring pressure, you can do the 5/16". I'm going with 3/8", but I also have mogombe springs.

Thanks Jason. I figure my length will be around 7.800". With a 3/8" shaft, there is 7.700", 7.800", and 7.900", and nothing in between. With a 5/16" shaft though, there are all sorts of lengths inbetween, so I can get my preload right. I don't want to order custom pushrods because they may take too long to ship, so I'm trying to get them from Summit, which only takes two days to arrive. I figure if the pushrods are hardened chromemoly, and .080" walled, they should be hold up just fine even at 5/16" in diameter.

People run the PRC's and the Patriots all day long with 5/16". The 3/8" will add stiffness to the valvetrain, but I don't see where it is neccesary to do it with the gold spring pressures, or less.

There are all kinds of pushrods inbetween the 7.7-7.9 range. I used 3/8 shaft w 5/16 ball ends, and got them perfect. Did you check comp cams catalog?

I believe Comp and I know Manley has everything inbetween 7.700-7.900 in .025 increments, the 3/8 will add stiffness to the valvetrain as mentioned and also reduce harmonics which is important to the valves(bounce) and springs.

The thing is, I want to order them from Summit, because it only takes a couple days to arrive. I won't know my correct pushrod length until Friday, Thursday at the earliest, and need to finish the motor by next Wednesday. Are there any Manley dealers on thw West Coast that carry all of the pushrod lengths?

Manley West in Anaheim usually stocks most sizes, I have on hand (8)7.800, (8) 7.775 amd (8) 7.750's I'll check and see if I can get 8 more of any of these.

Summit does carry them actually. You have to enter the part number to find them. However, it seems most of them they don't have in stock. So depending on what part number I will need, I might be able to get them from Summit, or might have to get them from Manley west, which is in Orange, three day shipment.

If you order direct from comp, they can ship that day. They did for me.
