Default L92

Is this just a Crate Engine that GM sells? It drops right into LS1 F Bodies?

Sounds like an amazing motor actually... am I right? haha

Question

?

The L92 is a 6.2 Liter Gen IV V8 currently offered in the High End SUV's (Denali and Escilade).

To convert to a early 4th Gen F-body you would need to do a couple of things.
New ECM and wiring harness
97-02 Fbody Oil Pan (L92 has a truck oil pan that more then likely will not fit the Fbody correctly).
A Low Profile intake manifold (which everyone is currently looking for)
Figure out if you want to keep Displacement on Demand (DOD) and Variable Valve Timing (VVT).
Etc Etc Etc...

Just a heads up it's not a simple drop in... not even into a C6 vette

The positive side is the 4th Gen external performance parts would work without a problem (headers, cold air intake, plugs, wires, belts, under drive pulleys, etc).

A Cam swap would depend on if you kept DOD and VVT as I haven't seen anyone list a performance cam for DOD/VVT equip'd motors.
Now if you were to remove the DOD/VVT components and replace them with say LS2 lifters, timing chain and timing chain cover then you could use the LS1/2/6 based cam's and lifters...
The intake rocker arms are offset so LS1/2/6 intake rockers arms can not be used.

Also with the way the L92 head is designed you probably wouldn't want to go with a LS1/2/6 based cam as the exhaust duration may not be enough to give optimum performance with the head design.

Others will probably chim in with everything else that would be needed.
