Default HPE Big Nitrous ZO6 update

Just letting everyone know that car finally did get finished, and is back home in Dallas. It put down a very safe 880 rwhp. Still has a lot more in it, but we didn't want any more mishaps. I just wanted to post the final numbers so everybody who was curious could know how it did...

The initial hit of the nitrous caused some driveline surge. You can kind of see it in the graph. Each pull lasted about 3 seconds. So imagine transferring that kind of power, in that short of time.

I know Lance was happy earlier. He couldn't stand still Should leave for a fun ride on the street. That's right over 1000 flywheel horsepower. Not too shabby I suppose...

That car is pure sex, 880 rwhp in a 3100 lbs. car should be alright for a street car, "Sorry guys, I can only race from 120-200, otherwise I'll be all over the road"

Only 590, but that's with a nitrous specific cam and tune up. An all motor setup would easily make well over 600 rwhp.

It's because if you look at the top right of the graph smoothing is set to 0. It should ideally be set to a higher number so that the waviness can be avoided and prevent skewed peak numbers. Like one little spike giving it a 50hp higher reading on the peak numbers.

I asked this in one of the other threads and I was informed that HPE had no plans of taking the car to the track. They said they just do the work and then they hand it over to the owner. So it's up to the owner to decide if he wants to take it to the track.

Glad to see the car is done and running.

was this a stock ls7 block or a resleved ls2??

very impresive! how much N2O do you think he will use in the 1/4 mile??

It's a stock LS7 block that has compstar rods, stock LS7 crank, and Wiseco(??? I think) pistons. Ported LS7 heads and a custom HPE LS7 cam. It's a monster for sure.

How much work are in those heads? Cuz I read some places that cam only LS7s are making 600+whp?

Beaflag... why are you such a big Matt Hughes hater? He's probably the best fighter the UFC has ever seen!!

Tell me about it... that's why I refuse to post my 427 ETP LS7 dyno numbers... all I know is my car runs 10.1@134 on the motor and 9.2@148 with a 200HP ring kit... this is at 3300lbs with a glide and 3.73 gears... I have seen cars that claim to make 100HP more than me that don't come close to my track numbers...

600rwhp C6Z06 with this magical cam
assume 12% DTL = 672hp
stock LS7 505hp
672-505= 167hp from just a cam swap

From a big motor nonetheless with a cam that's already "reasonable". I mean we still see good gains from larger cams, obviously with several cars pushing out 550-565 rwhp. But so many times numbers get skewed and then stories get misinterpreted, leaving us the shop to feel feeble when we have to explain to the customer that no, we can't make 600 rwhp with a cam only LS7. "But I read on the internet..." "No, I'm sorry, the person who told you that, is probably an idiot."

While we infecting the internet with lethal virus's, we should also compile our brains together and figure out a way to banish all dyno's. No more Dyno's, I mean, I can use mine and maybe a few others, but everybody else gets there's taken away.
