I have an MTI LS2 402 and I'm happy. I'm sure you've seen the vids of my car. It run pretty good I think. I'm running a small-ish cam 236/236 .585 .585 @ 112 lsa and I put down 499rwhp/496rwtq on 91 Octane and a rice tune. Nuff said I think. It's pretty quick to be honest. 1st-3rd gear is sick with the low end tq. If I were to do it all over again, I'd go with a bigger cam. I have the Z1 right now, I might even do a swap to the S1.

The 418ci shortblock is more expensive, yes. Building it using the L92 heads and intake you will probably end up spending less money on the long block. PRC is working on a CNC L92 head that will be relatively inexpensive and be specifically built for the 418. The L92 intakes arent anywhere near as expensive as the fast intakes which will help keep the total build cost down as well. If anyone needs a price on the 418 short blocks or long blocks with the L92 heads and intake let me know!!

We have a few 418's in production right now.

.
What is the max bore on a ls2 block? I thought you couldnt hone it more than .010" like the ls1/6 blocks? Not trying to be a dick, just curious.

you have fast car, without stating the rest of your setup, its not stock, i know that.

nope your misconstrewing my comments together

8.2 was the best i could pull bone stock with a DA 2400. down to the F1 supercars non-run flat 295/35/18, bone stock car. everyone was running .3th off that day from what i was told. several guys i ride sportbikes with that run 5.90's were running 6.2-6.3's. that was the only trip the 1/8th i took in the car.

ill quote myself...
"my car has never been to a 1/4 mile track, even when it was stock. it saw 4 passes in the 1/8th mile 8.2@87 was my best time."

im not taking you to be a dick at all. im not an engine builder just someone that has spent 10 months researching on the net while i was saving money for my build and making car payments on a car i couldnt drive

many builders are taking them 4.030", mine is 4.005" with a 4" crank. .005" over was to clean the walls up to make sure they were all perfectly round. leaving me some room in the future for a rebuild and going .025 more over for a 4.030" bore.

some are adding a 4.1" crank, 4.125" and even 4.25"

Do you have their stage 3R heads on this engine?
