Like many of you, I've just lined my cams up dot to dot, hoping that everthing would be OK. Usually, it was. This time, I decided to be a good boy and actually degree the cam (a Katech LS7 torquer) for my 427 build. I was 2 degrees on the retarded side. Is it worth correcting? I know it's easy enough with the an offset kit for SBC's, but has anyone done this with an LS2 sprocket, and would it even work considering that the sprocket is used in the cam sensing (I would think it wouldn't matter). I know there are adjustable LS2 sprockets out there for about $200.

If the LSA is 110 and you have an intake centerline of 108, the cam is two degrees advanced, not retarded.
The chain will stretch at least two degrees in a short amount of time. I would leave the positioning alone.
