Wiseco has an excellent forged piston kit for a reasonable price. If they don't have exactly what you need, they will do modifications for $40 per change. They provide pistons based on bore size and come sized for that bore. Usually .004" under the bore. If you need more skirt clearance you can increase the bore size to suit your needs.

Thanks for your quick response and input Shirl I appreciate it. What would you personally run for a piston size in a street engine with the 4.100 bore size? (For the best longevity..?)

For an NA street engine I'd run the clearances specified by Wiseco in a straight and round bore properly honed for the rings to be used.

There are a few knowledgable people here and you should learn who they are. The rest will lead you astray.

You didn't know? You must have 100 posts to be credible.

He only logs on every couple of weeks....and may not have even been back to this thread to see your post.

If I were in your shoes, I'd drop him a PM.

Hello,

I saw you are interested in doing a stroker build. ERL Performance specializes in GM LS block modifications and engine building for the LS market. We currently have several builds in stock or in process. We offer an exchange program or we can use your block. Please give us a call for more information.
