Default LS2 + 10W-30 Oil?

I know GM recommends 5w-30 for the LS2, but I have been running 10w-30 on my '99 Z28 for over 7 years (5w-30 is also recommended for the LS1). Is 10w-30 ok for the LS2 in California weather/climate?

Anyone have any feedback? I have been running 10W-30 in my LS1; is it safe to assume the LS2 will be okay as well (keeping in mind I live in SoCal)?
