L92 Heads (on an LS2) with a cam
I already have a decent cam (226/226 591/591 on 112lsa)
will this cause clearance issues?
what about if I mill the heads enough to get 10.5:1 compression?
will the valve springs in the heads support my cam?
thanks guys...
Russ
Now the stock springs for the L92's are not LS2/Ls6 springs (.575" lift capable) but are LS1 springs (probably .525 to .550" lift capable). I would suggest a comp 918 upgrade at the least.
Now shaving the heads to increase the compression could cause a pvt issue.
I really don't see that cam pulling the potential out of the L92 heads. Then again with that exhaust system you have almost zero restrictions
so it might work out.Oh and GMHP finally put online the comparison http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...ine_l92_heads/
I wonder how many folks have read that and ordered up that component setup just to hit 450 to 475rwhp???
