LS2 w/ 550 rwhp realistic?
In the near future will 550 rwhp be obtainable using a non-bored/stroked L92 head LS2/6.0? Obviously it will take ported and milled heads, but will this be a realistic goal to shoot for? The 346 guys have hit 500+ rwhp all motor w/o L92's. Or has someone already done this with a LS2/6.0.

Not saying the L92's won't live up to the hype, but it's a little too early to be predicting 550rwhp with a stock LS2 bottom end lol

I've seen 513RWHP 457RWTQ with a 6.0 GTO, dumped duals, hellion cam, 225 etp heads, Fast 90, PPLS2 throttle body, and formato tune. It didn't have an electric water pump. The L92's should also flow better than the ETP 225's. You'll still fall short unless your cam is absolutely massive, barely drivable kinda big...maybe ITB's if anyone ever gets them set-up properly...

Seabirdak that was a Engine Dyno. They are talking Rear Wheel Dyno numbers.
Multiply that engine dyno number x .85 to get a rough estimate of rear wheel power (hmm now its only at roughly 460).
Between driveline loss, and engine acessories 15% is a good guess.
To get close to 550 rwhp (SAE adjusted) your going to need to shave the L92 head (to get the compression back up) go with a big stick (about as big as the hellion if not larger) and all of the supporting mods... and probably have to get a custom set of pistons to keep the valves from going into the stock LS2 flattops.

We got 570/505 ON AN ENGINE DYNO.. not rear wheel.
Is 550rwhp possible? I guess, need a big *** cam though. Our was medium since I want it easily streetable.
I imagine 500rwhp is fairly easy though..

11 bravo...i agree. it is way to early to say what the l92 heads will do. i hope they do well,i have a set being ported and they will go on a 402ci w/l76 intake w/12.0:1 compression. i hope they can out due a out of the box AFR225head w/fast 90 intake on a 402ci.

I agree with the rest with "its too early to tell." That, and the fact most setups out there with these heads are using cams that were designed around the LS1/6 style head flow.
