Looking to build..
Hi. I am looking to build my new 408 motor. Thinking about within the next 1-2 weeks. I got ahold of LME and they advised me to go with a 408. Sounds good.
If you had an unlimited budget.. how would you build YOUR 408?
This is going into a 2001 camaro ss.
thanks

L92 block (so in essence it would be a 416)
BARE L92 heads (with a TEA exhaust port) and Ferrera Titanium valves
L76 intake
racetronix dual intank pumps
1 7/8" American Racing headers
HTC billet crank (or lunati)
aftermarket Titanium rods
arp studs on EVERYTHING (including their stainless header studs)
billet mains
Custom ross pistons (coated)

i will probably spray it in the future.. nothing crazy.
I would like mid to low 10's N/A. mid to high tens on a 6 speed or low tens on a th400 with a brake and 4400 stall.
I mostly cruise it and weekend warrior it. But it will see SOME track time. But would like to power tour with chevy next year.

Check this out:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/lsx-parts-sale/634076-fs-408-solid-roller-motor.html
It is a piston swap away from being a great street/occasional track motor. Only the best parts used throughout, price is negotiable and I promise you wont get anywhere near it in price or performance any other way. The motor is for all intents and purpose brand new.
Brand new heads, valves, springs, brand new bearings etc etc

appreciate it. But I am looking for a brand new motor whereas if ANYTHING is wrong.. I can just deal with the company and not have to argue that the middle man (seller) had caused the issue(s).
I wish you well on your sale though. Sounds like a killer motor!
