I was worried about tuning a GA cam in a L92ed LS7 due to large split and 106 but after VE tune it is very docile. Will lug down under 2000 rpm in 6th and idles fine. No more problematic than my cam in sig. If fact, I think I prefer it. Valve train noise is like stock due to more gentle lobe design yet it really performs.

VE tuning is the key...with efi.
It's amazing how docile it is in a tuned 346.
Have you guys dynoed it yet??

I can send you one if you send me an email.
After running my 402 with conventional cam against a LS7 with GA cam at a track day we (the LS7 owner and I) concur that the GA is not a great torque cam <~5000 rpm. It comes on very strong at higher rpms but is comparatively flat below that point. That is what it was designed to do.
I could easily pull the LS7 in 3rd gear on numerous track laps. His only way to stay even was to come out of the corner in a lower gear and rev the hell out of it. Not what we expected!
Both cars are C5 transplants with 11:1 compresstion and L92/L76.
Mine dynos runing rich, (12.2) @496/475.
