Default Adjustable Roller Rocker Question

I am thinking of putting some rockers on my LS2. do any of you think I can benefit from the roller adjustable rockers. I figure this would take care of the slight differences in pushrod lengths and cure some noisy valve train problems I have .

stock is 1.7 right , how much would a comp pro magnum in 1.75 raise my lift of 612/622?

also I see that the comps are stud mount, how would they attach to my PRC heads. I am running stock rockers now. Any machine work or is this a bolt on deal ?
I have stock valve covers also, would they fit?
If not are there any other rockers I can gain the adjustabilty out of and still bolt up to stock style heads and clear stock valve covers.

Why dont I see more people talking about these types of rockers.
Thanks for any help !

The Comps will fit under the stock covers, just with some clearancing of the baffles.

To figure out your new lift, just divide your current lift by 1.7 (this will give the lift at the lobe of the cam) and then multiply that number by 1.75 (this number will be your new lift at the valve)

Most dont do it becuase the stocks are "good enough" altho on my current build I will be using shaft mounts.

Which shaft mounts will you be using?

Thats the only pic I could find. Comp sells them but theyre made by DRE as they do a lot of private lable stuff for bigger companies.

Comp Pro Mags come with studs and push rod guide plates.

I have a set of 1.85's on my 05.
The setup is as follows from a bare head.
Guide plate then studs then rocker arm body then nut then poly lock (goes inside nut).

Note: in that shot the nut and the poly locks had not been installed.

The difference between the comp's (and crane gold's) -vs- GM's is the GM rockers set in a pedistal and the comp's do not.

If you look at #4 below the rocker arm you can see the push rod guide plate (black plate that had a u shaped groove for the push rod).

hey thanks for the pic.
Are the factory trays used that the rocker sits on ?
do these rockers sit any higher than factory .
how many turns did you set your preload at ?

what is the part number for the complete rocker kit. I would use 1.75's

if I bought these I have to removed the damn Harrop intake. cant get the front pushrods out

There's the 13753-KIT and 13755-KIT both of those kits include push rods, guide plates, and 1.75" rocker arms.

Then there is the 1375-16 which is just the 1.75" rocker arm and guide plate (no push rods).

All the kits include the studs, nuts, poly locks, guide plates, and rocker arms.

The set that I went with is the 1370-16, that is the 1.85" rockers without pushrods.
I used a set of trickflow 7.4" push rods.

The price will differ between vendor. On average they are going to run you between $420 and $470

On the preloads I'ld have to ask the guy I had install them (had someone else do the head, cam & rocker install).

The preload is 1/2 turn after zero lash. I got the 1.85's mainly to have the adjustability and they worked great (very quiet valvetrain). It's also a little more stout than the stock setup.
