That torque curve is bad ***. It is flat as hell...are you sure that car wasn't running on diesel?

I agree, killer torque and more power than a new LS7 powered Z06. Great job with a small cam and out of the box very AFFORDABLE GM heads and intake manifold!!

Default Torque Curve

It looks like you guessed a little shy on camshaft duration for your engine. Your engine has a lot of untapped power still. It's an awesome setup for a heavy car with an automatic transmission though.

You probably know this already, but all CTS-Vs run 6 speed manual transmissions. You are right though, this engine/heads/cam combo would excel in a GTO, Silverado or TBSS with an automatic.

No, I did'nt guess a little shy on the cam choice. I had a number of cams at my disposal before putting this one in. I made a conscious decision to use this cam for a few specific reasons. 1. The car is a dailly driver and I wanted great street manners 2. I've had bigger cams in 408's and have a good idea how much power they make. I was curious as to how much power this top end package would make with a small cam 3. This was not a max effort build.

Default Right Cam

I can really respect that. I think you have an awesome car. I'm sure it's a real pleasure to drive everytime you get into the car.

I did a simular thing with my LS2 GTO. I put a small cam into it, however the LSA went from 116 stock to 112 in my cam selection. I really loved this setup. I've got the MOD bug now in a bad way... I've got a 416 L92 on the way from Scoggin Dickey right now.

Are your pistons valve reliefs L92 specific for a 2.16 Int valve

No, they were for a standard LS1 head.

Thanks, I would have liked to do a max effort build, but it's not the correct car to do it on. My buddy will be putting a L92/L76 package on his 418ci aftermarket cathedral port GTO shortly. It's a well baselined car as is, big cam, the whole nine, so it will be a good comparision.

I wish there were more of these types of builds. A true HotRod - Congrats, man!

Man, those are some flat lines on the dyno pulls. Huge power under the curve. I bet that it is a real sleeper on the street. What are you running for exhaust?
