Power increase from one cam to another..... The guy who's gonna build my engine just did an LS7 heads & cam on a Z06. Ported the heads to flow 397@.650 lift and used a tiny 228 cam. He dynoed 568 RWHP.
He also just did a 416ci LS2 with L92 heads (365cfm) andL76 intake with a 230 cam. It dynoed 530 RWHP.
What power increase would a 242/242 cam give all else being equal for these two engines.
Is there a rule-of-thumb or something?

So you want to run a sheetmetal intake and put a tiny cam inside? That is counter intuitive. Sheetmetal intakes make power on the top end.... and small cams run out of breath up there.
