Why does the L76 have less hp than LS2?

It has less HP due to MARKETING

Do you want the sedans and trucks to have more power than the C6 ?

Yes it loses compression and cam to the LS2, but it has heads and intake to its advantage. Off the floor it has less, but its a cheaper platform to modify and get nice power gains from.

The knock sensors are very different and work on different principles. You would use the ones that are compatible with the ecm you are using. For instance in my LS2 402, I used the LS1 knock sensors because they are compatible with my 98 FBod ecm. They work just fine in the block location on the gen IV LS2 block.

For the later ecm, the knock sensor algorithm is totally different, but that is a knock sensor/ecm system thing. So just be consistent with your ecm and you are good to go.

By intake do you mean the intake tube or the plenum? As pictures of the stock L76 intake tube show it to be horridly clogged.

the advantage of the l76 over the ls2 is the heads/intake manifold. the intake tubing isnt
