[QUOTE=2c5s][QUOTE=Bring the Noise][Sarcasim]Now the magazines that toss a LS7 crate motor on an engine dyno will typically throw on the Dyno headers -vs- GM exhaust manifolds and will use an electric pump which makes the reading optimized (cause it looks great in the magazine and helps to sell more magazines).

Think they get a bit more power by useing an engine management system that is not factory???????

Sure. You can make some nice gains by simply tuning a production Z06.

Likely yes. Stay tuned.

to get 550 rwhp through a 4l60E, big stall (unlocked), and moser 9 in....you will need about 700 crank hp on a dynojet I believe.

If your friend is concerned with rwhp, have him get a supra or something with a stick The car you described with the parts is nice, and will be fast. Tell him to focus on what it will run in the 1/4...with an auto and moser 9in., that is obviously his forte, not dyno racing. If he doesnt run mid 10's at full weight with some decent traction, I would be surprised.

tell him to get AT LEAST 1 7/8 to 2 in headers....or even 2" headers.

Well he's setting up for a race with Kenne Bell Cobra making 700rwhp, so 550rwhp is gonna be about what it takes I figure, but he does have all the traction gear so he does have an advantage out of the hole but needs a certain amount of power to hold off the TOP END charge.
