so even though i'm only running the smaller 364ci the 51016 cam will still work ok?.....I'm relying on you for the skinny 'cause I'm a newbie to LSX stuff. Your add says 402 and larger cubes. If you say it will work good I will buy the whole combo.....L92/L76 head/intake with install kit and the cam. what about a harness and computer?.......can I get that from you as well?
I would much rather go one stop shopping. Howell the EFI experts quoted me a complete custom harness with programmed computer for my car and setup for $1000. Are they good and what they do...have you heard of them?

I have heard of Howell Engineering, I am sure they will do a fantastic job for you on the harness and PCM. No we do not supply a custom harness or PCM, but can tune it for you after your build is complete. My one word of advise on the tune is to not go for a "mail in" custom tune when using any performance cam. You will get better performance if you take your vehicle to a shop that will tune on the dyno AND the street.
Thanks
Hank

We have testing results for the 402 with 51016 cam/SLP AFR Heads/LQ9 intake and supporting truck parts (SLP Cold Air & Exhaust) BUT not with a stock 6.0L LQ4/LQ9 short block. The L76 manifold is going to be a tough conversion for the 800 series truck guys as the height and provisions are an issue. We are looking at working this out.
We are also getting a few requests for the dual spring but decided to wait to make that package to see how many requests we get. It is not a matter of if in my mind just when. We want to get all of our current packages up and out. Which brings me to another update;
SLP Stock Chamber L92 Packages:
P/N 12294: Drive By Wire Kit with Stock Chamber L92 Heads : $1695.95
P/N 12295: Cable Throttle Body Kit with Stock Chamber L92 Heads: $1795.95
Kits above are the same as 12292 and 12293 except that there is no machining of the L92 head.
Thanks

It should make great power. Car Craft did a test with dead stock L92's and an LQ4 motor that they bought used. It make some great power. The SLP heads are milled, the chambers are in better shape, and it's a complete setup. So it should really rock.

No need to preorder now as the head packages are now for sale and you can order them on our website. Just type in 12293 or 12292 in the "quick search".
The 51016 Cam will work great! for an automatic vehicle. But we still have not checked piston to valve clearance on a STOCK LS2 Flat Top Piston with this cam and the L92 heads. I will try and get the shop to take care of that sooner then later. I can tell you the Stock LS2 works well with the SLP L92 heads. We use them in our ZL500 Pac for the C6 corvettes. That is 500 HP at the crank, with the stock cam. Check out this link for more info on that package.

ALSO: Please check out the link below for all of the L92 Long Block Packages.

Hope this answers all of the questions.
Thanks
Hank

Just an Idea .. you might want to list it as a 402 L92 kit.
The other vendors that offer a L92 kit typically use the L92 block -vs- the LS2 block (which is typically a 414 to 418 L92 kit -vs- a 402).
Oh and the manifold for the trucks should be the same as what currently comes on the Vortec Max 6000 (L76 truck engine) same as the Denali and Escilade L92 manifold.
Anyhow, it looks like a great product.
I mean a 402 shortblock with L92 heads, L76 manifold, TB, fuel rails, 40lb injectors, and the only thing missing is the oil pan (which differes between vehicles).
Damn nice setup.
Whats the longblock going to run price wise?
You are very close to offering a full crate engine... just need a pain, dyno run and warranty (2yr/24 or 3yr/36 would be nice).
