L92 head problem

L92 head problem I have a set of brand new gm bare L92 castings. I dropped them off at the machine shop to have guides and seats installed a couple of days ago. Today the guy at the machine shop called me up and told me he can't find any one that makes the guides or the seats and the only thing gm sells is the entire head. does anyone know where i can get them or should i just sell them and buy a complete set? thanks.

I agree with that recommendation as well. If nothing there I would give John at TSP a call. They are doing their own stuff.
I ran into this same problem a few months ago. GM didn't sell guides and seats individually and my machine shop was going to have to make them which would have drove the costs way up. You can get them for $175 with guides and seats already installed.

Where did you buy the bare castings? And why didn't you go with the GMPP heads that have the seats and guides installed?
It's one of those labor intensive costs that makes the bare (with seats and guides) a good value.
