Warhawk Runs At World
Just talking to Billy about "long block" and need to price. We call our two other offerings (SBC, SBF) "partial engines". There we offer cam, valve train, and assembled heads but no oil pan. The General refers to long block as including pan.
So we're not sure which way to go just yet and haven't priced yet. I don't think it'll be a short assembly and a pair of assembled heads.
To emphasize: It's too early for a lot of detailed timing and pricing. We have to finalize complete engine specs after all our testing. But here's the firm stuff as of today: LS7X parts will run on dyno probably next week. (Just waiting for cam) I'll get that on our sites ASAP and post here too.
7X heads are trickling in now and 9.8 decks are due early May. We will build 9.24 shorts as soon as we deliver backordered blocks and get the list down. I'll be back on board here Mon.

does not display in a Firefox browser.
And BTW, impressive results for as-cast cathedral port heads.

im curious to see how much power was gained by backing down the timing.

ive got a handheld controller on the way so i can play with the overall timing.
i really think there is power to be found by lowering engine timing.
great #'s out of the 4500 setup.
i would have too thought that the motor might have lost a bit down low.
impressive.

We started with a pull in the mid 30's and it rattled a little. Immediately went to 28 and played between 22 and 32 till the sweet spot was evident. Probably off 18 at the worst in the 30's.
Also ran it rich for a while to be safe then sharpened the jets for the good numbers.
thanks!
