Yep, I hear ya.....I'll keep everyone posted to see how well this combo works on the 402...It better make good power/trap well or I'm gonna be pissed!

i think it will be out of breath by 7k. my cam is almost the same as camarokids= 244/248 xer on a 110 +4 and it peaks slightly over 6k and carries up to 6.5k and dies around 6,800 so that is probably close to where i will be shifting.why are you set on spinning it to 7k ? your car will be extremely quick with that h/c setup and you shouldn't/don't have to rev to the moon.i personally hate revving past 6.5k-6.7k on these motors but that is just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt.

I'm not set on revving the hell out of it....I just hate the thought of a "trucklike" power band that falls on it's face.

I'm sure the engine will pull nicely....

You want it to make power to 7000 at least.

I'm hoping it will, but with my smaller chambered heads, smaller duration cam and tight LSA it may fall short somewhere in the low-mid 6k range....

We will see I suppose...
