Default 120K on motor

Just bought a 1998 T/A that a guy just babied. Problem is, he put 120,000 mi. on the car. What can a well-maintained 100K+ motor handle before things start to let go? I would like to pop on a vortch or some spray, but I'm not sure what I can handle. Anyone know any good remedies??

Thanks alot

If it was well taken care of it will be just fine to 200k and more. The only thing with 98's is they have weaker rod bolts so you can't spin them as high (keep it under 6500 RPM if you can). Between Vortech or N2O if you are concerned about longevity the Vortech is probably a better bet because the power is progressive and increases as the motor spins the blower, a N2O shot is just that, a shot, it is harder on the motor so it just may be a thought. With that in mind I'm still spraying a 150 on my car over the summer without a concern (its not the orignal motor tho). If I were you, vortech, the 98 cam is a relatively good blower cam anyway.

My motor is at 118K right now and hasn't skipped a beat. Doesn't burn any oil between intervals (If it does it really isn't noticable). I didn't start modding until around 90k miles. Only thing I due is make sure it always has fresh oil and everything else has been maintanence free.

I just ordered a 408, but my 346 hasn't shown any signs of failing.
