Newbie Question-Methanol
Newbie Question-Methanol Hello everyone.
This may or may not be the correct place for this-if not admins please relocate it.
First part of June doing a cam, head, an intake swap on an stock bottom end LS2. The shop doing this ran something by me that I need help with.
He wants to add a methanol injection kit that will just lightly spray when the car is running at wide open throttle. Keep in mind there is no supercharger going on-strictly a N/A car.
I haven't heard of this so I wanted some feedback. Benefits, durability, etc.
And probably even a more silly question, would my car still be considered a N/A car if this is done?

While Methanol will help decrease intake IAT's i personally would not recommend it to a customer for an NA build, Tunning will be a nightmare since there is no boost referenced progressive control on NA car. You will have to tune each cell to accommodate for the added fuel being provided by the methanol.

version is what I have on my car and it DOES help.
