This is my first post over here on LS1 Tech, I have been on the Corvette Forum for a while. The Vinci cam 099 & 100 was the custom grind Roger and I cam up with for my 440 Darton sleeved motor. I wanted a very broad spread of power, I was willing to give up some peak numbers for a very drivable spread. My car puts down 540 at the rear wheels and pulls from 1200 rpm and bangs the rev limiter set at 6500. Mashing the pedal at 40 mph in fifth gear and feeling the seats bend back is really an addictive feeling. To close up the lobe center would bump the peak numbers up but stop the engine from pulling the last 500-800 rpms. It also would not pull as cleanly at the bottom. To get those lost upper revs back the lift would need to be increased, that was more stress than I wanted on my valvetrain. I did not want a street car that I would need to rev it to 2 grand to get it to move. The 117 lobe center is not for everyone but I wouldn't have it any other way.

here's the video clip you sent in to vinci of your car.
i agree, not everyone wants peaky, car bouncing, extra choppy exhaust sounding cars. while that's neat to have, some want a more refined and subtle sound. mine sounds like it's a stock cube motor with a decent cam in it. they won't know what hit them.

here's a current idle sound clip from my car. have just over 500 miles on it. idle tuning is getting close to where i want it. drive ability is great. instant throttle response. 50 mph and flor it and the tires break loose pretty good. granted i need some new tires.
