Don't really need 4WD where I live, and I have no desire to drive off the road.....I would go for this in a RCSB or even an EXt CAB SB

The SS concept was the ****.. Had a 6spd too. Wish my TBSS had a 6spd.. It would be fun to take a base colorado with the motor junk'd and build your own from a SSR/TBSS drivetrain. The engine bay is rather large due to the fact they have to cram a 5cyl in it, correct?

The best thing is when you get it you can yank it out and swap and LS2 6.0L or 408 in its place REAL quick.

I just bought an '07 Colorado! I wanted a dailly driver with good fuel economy and some power. 5 cylinders of fury baby!!!

Its funny because I have always wondered how an LS based V-8 would perform in my truck. About time they did this.

Check out these pics of the 2004 Colorado Cruz concept.

Here is another concept truck.

The cruz would be an awesome truck to have with a V-8.

How about a 4wd with a 6spd manual for us who like to row our own? I might want to be out of my WRX in a year for a truck that will still get 20+ MPG and haul stuff so bring on the DOD.

A Colorado with a 5.3L will probably get 20+mpg on the highway even without AFM. Heck, even my old fullsize '00 regular cab short bed(RCSB) 2wd would get 20-21mpg on the highway with the 5.3L.

What is the reason the AFM won't be on it?

I don't know right now. I may find out more about that in the next couple of weeks.

I heard rumblings about small diesels in these vehciles too? Please, by all means, offer up at least 5/6spd autos or manuals! I'll pay extra for the extra gears, seriously!

I'd pimp either one, but I'm definately in the needing a 4x4. The Z71 looks like a cross between an S-10, Colorado and an Nissan Extera

Sorry i don't have any pull as far as the program goes... i just do what they want me to.

I wouldn't mind the regular cab w/v8 and 6 speed myself.... but with all the new emissions regs, you probably won't see a regular cab with the v8.

As for diesels... possible...but probably not for the US market right now.....oh the possibilities i can think of with that too.

Hopefully they offer the rcsb w/ v8 as something I can order. I could careless if they advertise it or if the dealerships keep them on the lot.
