It looks like another great combination from you guys. Just out of curiosity, do you have any knowledge as to why the torque and horsepower curve dip a little at 4,000 rpm? The rest of the curve looks very linear.

Its just the nature of this camshaft. If you look closely, its not a dip, it is just not increasing as much. It never actually decreases.

Jason do you think the L-76 intake was holding this combination back? Could you also share the head flow numbers with us? How radical was the camshaft? Solid numbers and a good starting point to play with different camshafts, etc.

I can't say for sure, because we haven't tested any other intake manifolds. I can say that recent testing has shown that GM is on the ball with the latest intake manifolds (LS7) and it's probably pretty good out of the box. The only way to really step it up is the single plane. Intake flowed 330.

Through a M6 you should see about 520 on a Mustang or 560 on a dynojet.

You think so? 604 hp - 15% drivetrain loss = 513 rwhp Even at 10% which would be bare minimum, you're still looking at 543 rwhp.

It doesn't really matter. We know what the engine makes.

Wow,impressive. Why do the bigger ci motors seem to peak out earlier then fall off where the smaller ones hold on stronger to 7,000rpm's?

They are moving a larger volume of air in and out of the combustion chamber. Show me a engine dyno graph of an example.

The smaller motors are still making power or "holding out" at that rpm because most the time they're overcammed with something that was meant to make power to 7500rpm, but cut the pulls short because they dont wana rev their motor that high.

Gotta love how everyone wants to have the highest dyno #'s. Most people on this site think you need to shift as soon as the power drops off 5hp.

Awesome.
