i think id be happy with solid 10s maybe low 11s, but still relatively street friendly. as far as why i want a vette, well i already have a 97 fbod thats paid for and runs 12.40s on a cam and bolt-ons, and i have always liked the looks and interior of a vette better. i like the looks of the 09 camaros, but im guessing they will be in the 35k price range. if i go with a 25k vette and put 10 or less into an engine i will have a much faster car by the time the 09s even get released. plus i could be wrong, but i thought i heard somewhere that the 09s might be heavier than the fourth gens. my best bet i think wil be to go with a 4" bore 4" stroke ls2, with a nice set of heads. then just swap all the accessories over. i have someone that will help me with the build if i go that route, or i may go with a crate... i know will be paying for someone elses labor if i go with a crate, but do you generally see just as good of #s out of a crate or is it better to build? thnx for the input

Well if you're getting a 402 (LS2 based), that is a good choice, fairly affordable too.
With TFS 225, custom cam, 90/90 and all the bolt ons under the sun, yes low 10s is very achievable.

Well...Who actually makes a 4.25" stroke crank for the LSX? AFAIK, 4.1" is the only one available off the shelf.....
