Got the LSX going together!!
so once i got home, we got moving!!
we got the block cleaned up, the pistions clearance all checked (wall) the rings all file fit, all bearings clearanced, set up the end play, and got everything all set up and ready to work on.
tonight we will be putting the pistons in checking clearance, then hand the rings on the pistions, and begin assembly.
im hopping to have the entire shortblock done tonight and possably have throw the head on and check pistion to valve, then throw the heads on for good.
as long as everything fits up, i will have it done and ready to go in the car by the end of the day tommorow which means best case thursday, worst case friday i will be putting the motor in, i have to rework the fuel system a tad, and should be up and running by saturday, and possably at the test and tune sunday!! thats if everything is the right parts.
the only hold up may be oil pan fitment with the alum rods, they hit
and pretty bad, once pistions are in, we will adress that issue, that will be my only hold up if everything else is correct.cant wait, im close now
post some pics

but its good now.
i will try to remember to grab a few pics.

It seems that during a build of one their project vehicles they found the bolts were not correct. Since then they have corrected the problem.
They also shipped a revised bolt kit to dealers who purchased LSX blocks. If you have the older bolt kit you should contact the dealer where you purchased your block for the upgraded kit.
This was discovered more than a month ago. Since then all block being shipped have the new bolt kit.

the cam retainer plate is wa way off with the double roller they need to do a revised plate again with flat alan style bolts for the top 2 holes. they just dont fit.
other then that, the motor is in, and i should have everything 100% tonight.
