Feedback on a 4.00 & L92 set up
I would like to hear what and why you would make some changes. BTW, for the first run at this combo I will not be going EFI and will have a little nitrous at some point.
Iron 6L block std bore or 30 over.
Compression ration between 11:1- 12:1
6.200 forged rods
Stock stroke (stock crank)
Cam in the 235/244 on a 108-110 in the 59x Lift area (approx "guesstimate")
L92 heads w/ dual springs (set up CORRECTLY!) along with some bowl and exhaust port clean up work
GMPP 25534401 intake
1" spacer
MSD 6010 ignition controller
850 carburetor
1 7/8 headers
ETC.........
Thanks guys!
If this is not the appropriate forum mu apologies and please feel free to re direct!

cam in sig
4.030" bore
11.1 cr
8.3 ish DCR
not too sure about my cam though. wanting to order a 234 240 114+2 something like that anyways. mines a little wicked on the street DD'ing it.
What do you guys think, L92's or the heads from the combo below
F13 on a 112+4
ASP UDP
Exedy twin disk
“Cleaned up” 853 heads with stock valves
Patriot Gold dual spring kit
Get er done...
Buy my patriots down at Keiths and dis prove this whole valve shrouding thing
I will bet you thoese heads will make close to the same power or within 20 hp as the untouched escalade heads. Now for more Hijacking.
The 427 of Dans made 18 hp over his 408. I know for sure I am sticking with the L92's not the LS7. But then again 786 FWHP is not bad for a hyd cam motor. That extra 5g's will buy one heck of a forced induction package
Phil,
Can you shoot me some contact info for the shop building your motor. I may have a question or two for him on the L92's.
I can't wait to see yours up and running!!
Thanks
