So is L92 the way to go?

What is the least expensive cylinder head setup that flows the most cfm?

I saw that l92 heads ported will flow in the 370 cfm fully assembled for around 1800.00

Are there better heads out there for the price?

Also who makes makes the 6 bolt per cylinder heads because down the road I want to run a LSX block?

Stock GM Heads typically cost:

$380 pr
16x $15 each for Valves $240
Double Spring Kit $275

Total: $900

PRC CNC Ported L92 Heads
$1099 with stock springs
$1349 with prc doubles

For the power gains the prc head is definately worth the little bit of extra $$ over the stock gm castings.

IF you have enough cubes to make use of the extra airflow...

There are always enough cubes for the airflow, just depends on how fast the pistons can go up and down and stay inside the engine!!!!!!

L92 heads are a great pickup for something like a stroker engine. On our 403 combo L92's made right under 550 in a 6speed Vette. They flow excellent numbers out of the box, but as mentioned above, make sure your air pump can pump enough for those heads.

So these aren't recommended for a 99 LS1, I am looking for a heads/intake setup for the Vette and have read nothing but good things about the L92's.

The bore of your engine is not large enough to use those heads..

What kind of flow numbers are they getting out of these heads? Do they have a web site?

Do you think that the GMPP CNC are really worth it? The flow improvement is very minimal.

Also which valves are they? The SUV or light weight LS3?

I know I dont have the whole picture, but what is the TQ like from 3000 to 4100 RPMs?

Is something like this going to take off slow, then kick in at 4200 up to 6400 rpms?

TIA
