I will be swapping from an LS2 pan to an LS1 F-body pan for my conversion. Because of this I need to swap out the pick up tube as well. I have read to place the o-ring on the tube. Does the o-ring need to be seated against the flange as in the 1st pic or is the 2nd pic correct?


For torques specs: oil pump screen to oil pump is 106 inch/pounds, another spec reads “oil pump screen” 18ft/lbs. Is this the other end of the pick up tube supposed to be attached to the windage tray and tightened to 18 ft/lbs?
