L92 Valve Spring Choice Question
I have bare L92's that I purchased. Plan at least for now to use the Comp Cam XR281HR (0.571 and 0.573) with 112 LSA . The Car Craft article states they used the LS6 valve spring kit #12499224. The Scoggin-Dickey catalog says these are only good up to a max lift of 0.550, Can someone clarify this for me. I like the price $52.00, but is this the wrong set-up?? Probably should use the beehive springs from Comp Cams as well. Suggestions advice welcome. Thanks alot

i would not use the gm z06/ls6 springs with that cam, id go with the pac racing 1218 or the new comp cams 918(just make sure you get the new design)
i wore out a set of gm yellow z06/ls6 springs in 1 summers driving with a cam of only .525" lift,, with many 6800 rpm runs they didnt hold up (started to valve float at 6000 rpm), replaced the springs and valve float was gone
im using the pac 1218 and they seem to be great springs, with the same cam i think you are looking at
