You're going to probably want to multiply that 4K by about 4 before you'll even have an engine that will handle a 300 dual stage shot. Sorry

With 4k I would buy the best H/C/I setup you can get. You wont be anywhere near 800, but you'll have some nice numbers. Its gonna cost more than 4k to get 800.

4k will net you 800, but wheather or not that 800 is actually going to hold is another story.

you can pick a 408 sb for right around 4000 usually. But that still means you need heads, intake, TB, a different nitrous kit and a new fuel system. Good Luck.

4000 for a shortblock 408 and a little extra $ for an l92/l76 setup would be your best bet. i bet a sponsor would cut you an awesome deal if you bought it all from one place.

The n2o and supporting stand alone system will be at least 1k.

The sb for a decent 402/408 is 4300 so really your goals and budget dont meet. Your not that far off on paper but you'll find that you run about 1500-2000 beyond what you think your going to spend when all is said and done. So your close on the money but your going to need more to complete the project.

800 rw is alot to ask for, even with a n20 setup. a good 408 setup with ported l92 heads and the l76 intake will probably get you in the 500-520 range with an m6. you might be able to find a decent deal on a fast 90 combo with a direct port already installed and save some coin and use a set of ported ls6 heads from a reputable vendor and see similar rw numbers. jet it for 250 and be happy with that but as already mentioned a stand alone fuel system will be necessary. if sticking with the m6 you will need a very good clutch, that power grip hd will not handle anywhere near that kind of power reliably.
i would advise alot of research before you realistically seek your future combo.

Go with an used LQ9 / LQ4 engine (650), Eagle or Mahle forged 427 rotating assembly (1800), cam (400), L92 / patriot stage 3 Heads (1200), machine work (600) shot of nitros (cost?) and use as much stuff as you can off your current engine. Selling your old block and the unused LQ9 parts should net you some additional funds to play with.

it can be done-but it wont last long (**** load of juice 450 hp++++++ ??????

it can't be done if doing it the right way and lasting for a while- on a 4k budget their are to many things to do for such a small outlay of 4 k only-

just save more if thats what u want-their are always newer and better things coming out at good prices-

hang bang, reasearch a bit more, collect prices, and u will be right-

its a 50/50 thread-

I could spray a 300 shot on my motor and be there. Just don`t want to push that far. in sig!

Iron 408 4k
ET 245 3k
All bolt-ons, intake, headers, complete exhaust, fuel system, nitrous system on intake-about another 5k
tranny work 1k
12-bolt 2500

I`m afraid to tell you what I have in mine. Money pit!!

Just looking for a hell ya combo that no one can touch around my area for a full street car. Thanks guys this helps alot. Who's the best to give your money to?
