Harland Sharp rocker install problem

I bought a set of 1.8 harland sharp rockers to put on my 06 vette. While I was there I changed out the pushrods. They are comp cams hi-tech pushrods 7.400 length. The rockers are non-adjustable. Here's my problem,when I put them on my car my car ran like a it had a magic stick in it. It ran really rough and some of the rockers were hitting the valve covers. Anybody have any problems like this? Can anybody recommend a better rocker or should I just stay with the stock ratio?

If you kept the stock springs you may be binding there too. Don't run that motor any more until you determine your clearance issues.

You need to clearance the backside of the intake flange. We made a program to do this on the CNC. It can be done by hand, but you'll have a mess of metal shavings when you grind on the heads. This is best done before the heads are assembled and installed.

What I see in the picture is grinding that has been done to the head. I dont have any clearance issues there my problem is the rockers hitting the valve covers. The rockers in the picture seem to be offset,is that an L92 head?

Has anybody ever checked the difference between their stock pushrod and the comp 7955 pushrods. The ones I received were longer than the stock ones.

once again, great info richard. 87silver should be able to pull a valve cover and see where exactly where it hits now that it has run a bit. I guess I can assume that the reworked stock LS7 rockers from Harland have no clearance issues since they use the same rocker body. Can't wait to see my new heads Richard...
