Ask Brian about the PRC LS7 heads! We are a distributor for them and that might be a good way to get some extra pony from your setup without breaking the bank!

Finally! Just got off the phone with Brian. Hey is that thing painted? LOL I'm thinking a red block in my black bay with my UMI front end (black) and ls7 heads and billet covers.

After speaking with Brian and am supremely confident in the block I am receiving. Cant wait! LSX 451 with LS7 heads. Its gonna rock!

Well I wont name my source but I was told there is truth to the defects but none of them ever made it out to the GP. They are going to be done in house and so the delay now is the legal delays for the molds and lawyers and bullshit that goes with it. I have complete confidence in my block. Any defects would have showed in machining it.

you guys got it all wrong , china ran out of lead from putting it in the kids toys and is waiting for a fresh shipment of lead to come in , so they can get it mixed up with the drugs and cast into a block

the little bastards need to put some of that paint on those blocks instead of toys. Nothing holds up to heat like good ole toxic lead based paint!

Sounds like a supply issue.
I know that some of the AL rims GM uses made by Alcoa are made in the USA. My father built the heat treatment equipment for the facility.

I've heard of some blocks having issues with some of the rear cylinders being thin, and breaking through on big overbores. I think it is recommeded that you sonic check any current blocks to verify wall thickness. I discussed this with several folks at PRI. I don't know that this is the reason for the block being on backorder, it may simply be a separate issue. its just something I've discussed with some folks who have dealt with them.

Yes, this is true. This is not something that can be physically seen before or afterthe machine work, only with a sonic test on the walls.
