LS1 to LS2 I am putting an LS2 in my '02 Camaro and I was wondering which knock sensors do I use? The ones out of my LS1 or buy some for an LS2 I have an LS2 valley cover and the conversion harnesses for the cam and knock sensors.
Well let me ask u this ,where are u buying the Ls2 from ?Normally when buying a shortblock there gonna come with all the parhenilla u need to make the switch ,if it doesnt ,then u are gonna need the LS2 knocksensors & since u have the conversion harness for the Ls2 & *cam sensors for the Ls2 u wont need to buy them ,u will need them yes but dont go buy 2 sets unless u break something

You need to use the LS1 knock sensors.
Use an 8.5mm hand drill to drill out the LS2 knock sensor boss female threads.
Run an M10x 1.5 hand tap into the LS2 knock sensor bosses.
Screw in your LS1 knock sensors, one each side of the block as per pic.

Can you use the ls2 sensors?? I have both for my 402, but have not bought any conversion wiring. Will the wiring be for ls1, or ls2 sensors? Can you get it either way?? Dont mean to hijack i am just having the same problem.

I was told to use the LS1 sensors with the LS1 PCM. The tables in the PCM are setup to operate at the best sensitivity with the LS1 sensors.

The LS1 computer will NOT pick up the LS2 knock sensor signal. It's a different frequency. You need to use LS1 sensors as mentioned.
Also, you'll need the extension harness to reach the side of the block and the harness for the cam position sensor that was relocated to the front of the motor on the LS2.
