I still stand by what I have said. Rev-kits are old-school tech that really doesn't need to be implemented today. I obviously know that you DON'T need a solid roller lifter to turn 7k rpm. My point is that you should want to use a solid roller lifter to MAXIMIZE your performance. I don't care how well a hyd. lifter is designed or whether a big-named company makes it, it will never truely be able to cpe with the abuse of 7k+rpm or .700 lift.
If you guys have combos that seem to work for you keep doing what you do, I don't do what everyone else does or think what everyone else thinks. Willing to think outside the box and try new things with these motors is what keeps you ahead of everyone else.
No offense to anyone who has posted.

Kong your wrong. Get outside that box, as we abuse them at 8K and .700 lift with steel valves. Cheap junk to some Pricey to others

Reasonably priced is a vague term. What are you trying to do?

Comp, PSI,PAC,REV,CRANE, Crower

They all make springs that are good beyond .700 lift. You will need a 1.55 spring pocket and +.200 valve to get the proper installed height on the spring as most require 1.900-2.00 install height for a 230lb seat pressure. A lower install height will raise the seat pressure and it could possibly lead to premature wear on the valves.

I have some Absolute Speed 862 castings and the spring pockets were opened up to handle a 1.46" diameter spring. I used Comp 978's for like 4 years, only problem was they were good for a max lift of .600". No water jacket issues.

here are some specs on our 1.290 spring kit:

1.810 installed height: 145 lbs

@1.190 380 lbs

@1.135 410 lbs

Coil bind 1.060

I don't have exact specs on on spring rate. But I will attempt to find that out.

We do have several customers that run this w/ cams in the neighborhood of .710-.720 lift, and have been for quite some time. HOWEVER our official rating is .690 lift.

if the pressures/heights you listed are accurate you can math the spring rate, no need to dig it up

Looks like about 380#/in, but numbers arent quite linear up top. Should be close though

Or the fact that i have the spring specs and installed heights and setup as well as the valve information that was spec'd By Larry Meaux to setup my heads since he was the one that ported them.

We have 1.300 diameter springs with 230#s on seat. Why did you edit that last part out of your original post again?

I have etp heads that have the 700 lift drag springs... they are new. Im only running a .568 lift cam from thunder racing. Id rather not switch out my cam, but im trying to take advantage. What do you think about running a 1.8 rocker with the .700 etp drag springs? Thunder racing says they dont recomend a 1.8 rocker to the ramp rates of their agressive lobes. The guys at thunder racing arent familiar with the etp .700 lift springs, but do you think the spring would break before the rockers? I plan on keeping stock hydraulic lifters in my ls6, and btw, i have a f1r im upgrading to fom my d1sc. Is there a better spring for what im doing, or am I good? Will rockers or springs fail first if i go to the 1.8 if something does fail? Thanks, Brandon
