Default which heads are going to give more power? Your opinion?

On a stock LS2 motor (long tubes, CAI, tune), which heads would be worth more torque and hp?
The L92 heads, ported and polished.... or the 5.3L heads ported and polished.
a camshaft would be done as well, but a cam for the street, most likely in the 220's.
Which would you do?

We've definately had great results with our PRC CNC ported l92 heads. How much camshaft are you considering running? That effects how much cylinder head / milling you can get away with.

Its a streetcar. So torque is important. I have heard that the L92's are good for high rpm HP, but dont show much difference under 4k.
input?

may not lose torque, but do they gain torque?
Are they going to gain more hp and torque then other heads, or would u recomend something else? Looking for opinions. Have some good ones already, but more is always better.

Compared to 5.3 heads, I'd go L92, but there are many other heads I would get before L92's. Staring with the TFS or ET 215's or the AFR 205's. However, I'm not much of a fan of the square port stuff, so I may be a bit biased.

what do u have against the hip to be square port heads?
While those other heads may get you highr numbers, do u think it is worth spending 1k for 5-10hp?

I guess I'm just not comfortable with them yet. A bunch of people have invested alot of time and money for mediocre results. The cathedral stuff is proven, and depending on the application, will likley be better suited. Since your motor isn't anything crazy, I would think that you would see better results from a smaller head. Most of the square port stuff that is laying down the numbers is fairly radical. I'm just more comfortable with with those on the big cube/ forced induction motors, however, even in that app., I would still use cathedral. Wether it is worth it or not is a budget question. To me, yes, it would be worth it, but to a budget oriented person, it won't be.
