GTO cam recommendation?
GTO cam recommendation? my buddy has an 06 GTO, basically stock, has pacesetter long tubes, exhaust, volant cold air intake, and a tune, it made 360rwhp with this setup
he was looking at the MS4 cam, but dunno how well it would work with what he has, any recommendations?...the car will get the correct springs/retainers, etc...

its a custom grind i do right from comp. i have a sound clip in a c6 but not a gto. and no no flycutting is needed.

Fran, do you know where to get the StreetSweeper-HT for the GTO and how much $$ it would be for everything including tune? I am dumping my auto goat for either a manual GTO or a Cobra in 6 months. trying to figure out what i want to do...

I got my Streetsweeper HT cam package from FTI for 915 shipped. It came with cam, pushrods, springs, valve stem seals, shims, and TI retainers & keepers.
my stuff is semi new and it is a custom grind. I have used it on a bunch of stuff and it makes KILLER power on ls2's.... the same cam is currently in the gto that is goin for the cam only record. It had the record at one time but lost it but its next visit to the track should make it the record holder again. Best to date i ebelive is 11.7 at 119 which is fast for a cam only gto.

Proven results spread like wildfire over there. It may be worth becoming a sponsor. Do you keep cam specs a "secret" also. I'll look you up over there as well. My screen name it ToddO. I spend the majority of my time on that forum. I typically come over here for a good laugh at some of the posts.
I would run a single beehive like a Pac spring instead of the Dual but that your decision

But,We currently have the fastest 6SP GTO in the country (Injection-Connection) and we are using an off the shelf Comp 232-234 595-598 112+2 in it
The car has run 11.63@119 and we are going back to Atco at the end of the month with welds on the car and skinnies along with 3.91's in the rear..We HOPE to run 11.40 with the car the next time out

I'm running the StreetSweeper-HT, and absolutely love it. Here's a couple vids...
Cold Start - starts much better now that I'm tuning it.
DeSoto MO at night - Now that I'm tuning it, the the slight surging is gone. Proper tuning made all the difference.
