all the factory lifters are supposed to interchange. i dunno why an ls2 style lifter wont fit in an ls3 block? maybe there's a difference in the lifter guides.

Hi Excessive81, did you figure this out? I bought LS7 lifters for the forged LS3 shortblock that PowrMax.com is shipping out to me.

I'm wondering if you're talking about the fit of the lifters in the block, or in the lifter trays. The trays are different, but the lifter bores and lifters should be the same size.

All the new GM replacement lifters will fit all Ls motors and will be the same size and all GM replacement lifters share the same part number.
