LS2 knock sensors are on the side of the block down near the pan rail, same on both sides. The stock LS2 bosses are female threaded M8, open out to M10 and fit LS1 sensors in there.

LS2 cam sensor is in the front timing cover.

LS2 crank sensor is in the same spot as LS1. If you are running an LS1 computer you'll need a black crank sensor and a 24x reluctor wheel fitted to the crank.

I have a question about this pic, I understand where it says "normal" in red means that is where you tap for the knock sensor, Where is the other hole to tap for the 2nd knock sensor? Does "alternate" mean you just choose one of those in addition to the "normal" red hole? I assume it doesn't matter that the sensors would be at an angle to eachother. Thanks guys. Sorry if that is hard to understand.

Walk around to the other side of the block (not pictured) and you'll find another M8 LS2 knock sensor boss to tap there...mid block down near the pan rail. Sorry I thought "SAME BOTH SIDES" might have covered that.

Alternate location is usually too close to headers but is a get out of jail fix only for people who forget to tap out the holes before installing the engine.

Thanks for clearing that up. Just so I know for sure, on the new block I need to tap it so there will be one sensor on each side of the block correct?

can you use the LS2 8mm style knock sensors on a ls1 car, do they have the same plug, will they work with the ls1 PCM; or do you have to use the bigger ls1 style knock sensors?
