Wink Harlan Sharp Upgrade

I know that alot of guy's on this site build some major engine combo's, but for some of us who have kids in college and have to follow a budget, I just wanted to share with you my satisfaction with my stock roller rocker upgrade. They did a great job for a fair price and even though they are not a roller tip they should hang in there for sometime. I could post a pic if anyone wanted to see them. They have new rollers and snapped ringed to hold every thing together. Major improvement over stockers

Do you just call them up if you are going to do this?

Randy is a good guy. He sure helped me out with a rocker failure. I think the upgrade is money well spent. If I didn't have to run aftermarket rockers, I would have done this myself.

I highly recommend this upgrade. Being the victim of a stock rocker bearing failure and finding the needles on the oil pan's magnetic drain plug it's well worth the time and money to upgrade the rockers. Every so often I still find a stray needle when changing the oil and then have to pull the valve covers to check if another rocker bearing has failed.
One of these days I'll find the time to replace all the rockers with upgraded ones for peace of mind.
Definitely a thumbs up upgrade.

Nice topic.

Richard

Cool

Thanks for the recommendation Richard, I'd heard of people doing that, but didn't know how worthwhile it was - sounds like I'll be sending mine off to Harland Sharp pretty soon...

Yep, I had my ls1 rockers done by them. Very good idea. They come back looking totally new.

this mod was suggested to me by travor, thanks man, and I am glad I did cause ever since I installed the LS7 topend I had a horrible tick tick but couldnt find it. When I removed them they all looked great well harland called me back and told me 3 of the 8 intake rockers I had gotten with the LS7 topend kit were in fact L92 rockers shorter and 1.7 ratio. Not to mention totally different valve train geometry, He fixed me right up and when I got them back they looked fantastic and no more tick ran great!!!!
