Since there are so many people with this problem, here's a success.
Cammed ls1 was burning tons of oil, I thought for sure there was some sort of problem. Installed a pcv catch can (elite engineering) and I am no longer having this problem. I am considering upgrading to the new upgraded valve as well.

The increased overlap of the cam supposedly puts more pressure on the crankcase and therefore it pushes more oil into to pcv system, more than it was designed to handle. The catch can allows the oil to condense and drip down into the can.

I ran the pcv can inline and kept the pcv system functional. You replace the tube from the valve to the tb with the tubes going into and out of the can.
